My Easter Garden
My sister and I wanted to make an Easter Garden because Holy Week felt so different in lockdown, because we couldn't go to church.
The first picture above shows Jesus' tomb on Good Friday with the big rock sealing the tomb entrance.
The second picture shows what it was like on Easter Sunday morning when Jesus rose from the dead. The stone has been rolled away and we can see that just the material which had been wrapped around him is folded neatly.
We lit a candle to remind us of the Paschal candle, and Alleluia is our Easter word.
We really enjoyed making this Easter Garden and thinking about how we could use.
We used pebbles, moss, grass, soil, a coffee mug for the tomb, sticks tied together to make the crosses, a small white handkerchief, a big rock, 3 little egg cups to hold the flowers, and flowers and water.
And in front is our palm leaf we used on Palm Sunday.

What a lovely Easter project Maria. It really is strange to have Holy Week and Easter which is such a special time for us as Catholics, in our homes! But you and your sister have done a great job here and are really making the most of it. I love your Easter garden, and it's awesome how you used things from around your house to create your Easter garden, very creative! I hope you had a lovely Easter with your family Maria.
